LIBERTY LONDON – GREAT STYLING, HOMEWARE AND FURNITURE COLLECTIONS

Tuesday, 14 October 2014

When possible I like going into town to check my favourites shops, being, Liberty, one of them,  I learn a lot from how they style and presents their products. The furniture and homeware floor is heaven…I like how they mix the pieces and the colour themes they choose. Last time I was there I got a very nice surprise as I found my cushions in very good company. I love the rooms they have created, with a variety of old and new, different tones of blues and textures, linen, velvets, woods and graphics. The english Romantic collection feels like home in Liberty, and It makes me very happy to see my products in the store, it means a lot to me!!

NEW ONLINE SHOP AND STOCKIST

Tuesday, 8 October 2013

You know that feeling when you meet nice people, but you don't remember where or when? Well that is my story with Bethan from the blog decorators's notebook and newly launched online shop by the same name. We kept in touch through our blogs and kept meeting at some creative events. I am delighted to see her new project come to life, as I know she and her brother Joe have worked very hard to put it together.

I really like the way they have styled the products,  and the descriptions and story behind their shop. I think it is essential for any online shop who stock other designers/makers products to create their own identity and not just relay on the photos we supply. They have created a beautiful space to shop in, and a gorgeous collection of products, including some of my cushions and wall hooks.

Good luck to Decorator's notebook! Make sure you visit their new shop to see the whole collection, and read their inspiring blog.

CHOCOLATE CREATIVE AT LIBERTY LONDON

Liberty london, shopping in london
Hello hello I hope you all had a nice weekend. Here in London, it continues to be the hottest I haven't seen or felt in years. My poor mother, who came from Gran Canaria hoping to scape the islands Summer has been suffering the London heat! I will, in fact have to stop working from my studio, as I am melting as I write this…and will join mum in the living room to cut some fabrics and do some packing.

I know that it doesn't make sense to talk about Christmas under this sunny blessed weather, but I wanted to tell you about an event I went last week. I was invited to come along to Liberty launch of the AW 2013 collections under the name of 'A Cracking Liberty Christmas' and I couldn't have said no to this opportunity as some of my cushions were there together with the rest of the amazing products they will have in stock in the coming months.

I must confess that when they got in touch about the English Romantic collection, back in January I almost had a heart attack. Liberty is my favourite shop in London and the hope that one day I will see my little brand selling in there have been in my head and heart for a long time. If you are and independent designer, running the show mainly on your own, you will know how difficult it is to negotiate with the big guys and even do wholesale all together. So today I am thrilled to have achieved this and finally see one of my dreams come true.

Thanks to Simon and the Liberty team for putting together such a nice event. I was very glad to see lots of independent designer's products alongside the dazzling and beautiful Xmas decorations, together with the most gorgeous fashion accessories and gifts. I can't wait to see the window's displays and the actual Christmas section, and of course my cushions, which I hope will do well!.

I love to see how my customers use chocolate creative's products they stock in their shops. Crate Expectations is a gorgeous store, full of colourful and beautiful products in Melbourne, Australia, run by Gerogie Bird. Her shop is filled with Australian brands and designers from all over the world. I really like how she has used the wooden hooks to decorate the walls and hang the various accessories through out the space. If you are a local, make sure to stop by, she is very nice and I am sure you will find beautiful things to take home with you. Read more about Crate Expectations and Georgie over at the Design Files blog.

THE MODERN BABY ONLINE SHOP

Monday, 22 April 2013

Hello Monday, I hope you all had a good weekend. Weather was kind of nice in London, so I couldn't wait to wear my espadrilles, (Spanish shoes), whitout socks of course, and as a result I ended up catching a chill, as if I didn't know by now, that I am not English but Spanish and that I should wait until we get a decent warm weather to wear Summer clothes or shoes...so back to socks and coat.
I wanted to introduce you to The Modern Baby, a super cute online shop, run by Suzanne. She is very nice and a very good client of mine, she stocks my wooden hooks and knobs in her shop, alongside a very well curated selection of products for children's room and nurseries. I think she is doing a great job, by making her shop to stands out from the crowded Internet shopping experience. She recently revamped the shop with the help of stylish Kate, creating all these photos and much more to give a sense of uniqueness to her online shop, the photos are great, don't you think, they certainly have inspired me for my next children photo-shoot, whenever that may happen...
