Real inspiration from real homes at{mine}

Friday, 4 December 2015

If you are in need of inspiration from real homes, then head over to at{mine}, a growing community of very talented people, who have a passion for their homes and interiors. I like looking at real houses, that don't belong to stylist magazines, which looks are very achievable. My Home is important to me, and spending time trying to make it a serene and comfortable space where to live, work, and entertain is a must. I have chosen some photos around the flowers/plants theme, I think they make our homes more human and personal.

CHRISTOPHER PATRICK ERNST COOL PHOTOGRAPHY

Monday, 19 August 2013

Hello hello long time not seeing you!
I have been away from the blog, giving priority to the every day work that goes on in the studio. In about a month I will be exhibiting in TENT London, and there is lots to organise and do before the show. Pay the invoices, yes that is compulsory, work out the design of the stand, get electrics, marketing, products, etc...ready for the big day. But I miss being here so I will try my best...
Browsing stylist Charlotte David blog, I came across this project by Christopher, this photos were taken in his many travels and show different places that have in common the use of big scenic wallpaper. I have totally fallen for his photography of not so very glamorous places, take the laundry shop for example, or the barber's, love it love it, very dated, 50's/60's/70's but so NOW too, in fact I really want to do something similar in my house, you wait and see...Do you like this look?

INSPIRING AND BEAUTIFUL WORK

Monday, 25 February 2013

Good morning Monday, nice weekend? Mine was relaxing and cosy, spent at home, doing some work and cooking some new recipes. It is till very cold in London, and wishing the Spring was around the corner, but it seems our English Winter is here to stay… I have been discovering new blogs and the creative’s work and people behind them. I am taken by NY based floral designer and stylist Amy Merrick’s work, it is seriously gorgeous and full of talent. Her flower arrangements have got that old botanic feel to it, organic and wild, that I so much like, and her studio, hello what a dream space!! Her blog has become one of my new must ones.

Human Nature Series by Debbie Carlos

Tuesday, 28 June 2011

Have I ever said in this blog that I am obsess with deer/stags/ciervos images? I think I am –looking for some images for inspiration I came across the fantastic work of photographer Debbie Carlos, I am most taken by these images of her project called 'Human nature', that she took of animals being displayed at Museums. Come on, we all do take photos of this creatures when going to Museums, (I certainly do), but clearly mine has never looked this good. Somehow she has made them look as if they were still alive and she was witnessing them in their real natural environment, totally love her big format posters available at her etsy shop.

Dreaming of a place like this...

Saturday, 14 May 2011

Browsing the impressive portfolio of photographer Mikkel Vang, I cached myself dreaming of a place like this. I guess the thought of what is coming along, 4 days at a show, from morning to evening has all the sudden transported me to a place of tranquility and beauty away from the mundane city...

Monday, 5 July 2010

I felt very inspired browsing the ABOVE magazine pages, a beautiful and environmentally conscious publication, that I happen to come across the other day when buying old issues of magazines for £1 in a market!! Very well designed, quality paper, content and photos to die for, I specially enjoyed the feature about photographer and artist, Peter Beard, totally inspiring and gorgeous work!

Wednesday, 23 June 2010

I love learning about new things, artists, their lives and work, etc...this morning reading an article in the ELLE magazine, I fall in love with the photos, so went ahead and looked for more information about the photographer who took them, and is how I learned about Mark Borthwick, the photographer behind this dreamy photos and his life with this family in this beautiful house in Brooklyn. More info about him here.
