Dutch company Ladak bring us a beautiful collection of hand woven blankets made with recycled and sustainable fibres, a matter which is close to our heart. Not only are these blankets beautifully crafted, they also warm from the inside out, with 15% of the profits going straight to The Amsterdam shelter for the homeless. I absolutely love the Roland blanket, with its careful stitching and silvery buttons, its got a place firmly on my wish list.

Vintage cushions by Karin Lindström

Wednesday, 28 April 2010

If I keep finding things I want to buy I am going to go broke!! Beautiful cushions by Karin made up of vintage embroidery. I really like the mix and match of themes in each cushion, flowers, sceneries, animals...I find this look very fresh and unique.

Roses to seat on by Nika Zupanc

I keep finding new designs with an old/vintage twist, such as this chair with motifs of roses, traditionally found on tea sets and ceramics, is this a trend to stay?? What do you think of this chair by Slovenian designer Nika Zupanc? I Love it!!

A mi me gusta mucho...

More clever design

Tuesday, 27 April 2010

Another clever idea based on traditional Swedish embroidery designs by Johan Lindsten, with a contemporary twist. Incorporating and bringing back old values and craft to new designs is becoming a big trend that I am proud to share in my own designs.
