Arranged Landscapes by Sarah Lindström

What a clever idea! Arranged Landscapes is a good example of how to be creative and original, using textiles. I was so taken by her drawings, very strong images, and such a fresh approach to hand drawing, full of marks and details, the bears, rabbit, owls, fox, and vegetables… and the way she displayed the animals and plants together.

A wonderful display of talent a great imagination!!
In her words…My theme is about our contradicted relationship towards nature. It is about how we glorify and long for nature as long as we can keep a distance to it, and about our never-ending love for manipulating and arranging nature until it becomes less authentic and natural. Inspired by the pick and mix-attitude I wanted to create a Scandinavian forest Ikebana for the home.
