CHOCOLATE CREATIVE – CHRISTMAS EVENTS IN LONDON

Wednesday 20 November 2013

Hello everybody, I hope you are keeping warm and cosy. In days like today I feel very lucky to be able to work from home, even Missi refuses to go out; oh well, I will be soon going home to spend Christmas, but for the time being I am getting ready for these two events happening in London. I don't normally do consumers based shows, but I like to gather with other designers/makers around this time of the year and of course make some extra sells!!

I will be taken part in MADE IN CLERKENWELL, at the Goldsmith's centre from the 28-30 November, and at the CRAFTY FOX, Dogstar on Sunday the 8th December. There are many markets, and shows happening in London, all of them equally good and full of interesting products and designers, I hope you visit some of them, and if you happen to be in any of these two, come and say hello!!

THE NEW CHOCOLATE CREATIVE CHRISTMAS CATALOGUE

Friday 15 November 2013

Hello eberybody, I have been away from my blog and London, as I was exhibiting at the F&F event back in sunny Gran Canaria, which was amazing and I will tell you all about soon; but for now I wanted to let you know about my first ever Christmas catalogue. It has been done in a bit of a rush, as too many events and things have been happening in the last few months. Piero and I took the photos before I left, and as usual at home, with a very small budget and less time, but I think we managed to get some nice shoots. I have just finished the layout and uploaded it. I am lucky that I am a graphic designer so I can put things together and control chocolatecreative image and branding as I go, but I would love to have some help on this and so many other aspects of the business...
I wanted to create a little gifts and wrapping ideas guide, based around chocolatecreative products. I did enjoy the process, and I hope to have more time and budget to produce something much bigger and better for next year, there is always room for improvement!

I have always loved Christmas, the decoration, wrapping presents, gathering with my family, and meeting with all my friends, not so much feeling bloated and tired after eating like a hungry cow haha…I hope you enjoy it, and find some early inspiration for your Christmas preparations. Think simple but effective gift wrapping, DIY decorating, handmade gifts, etc…enjoy the process. I think it is a beautiful time of the year to get together and prepare for the celebrations ahead.

Nice weekend to all from Missi (the cat) and I!

GRAN CANARIA FASHION & FRIENDS

Saturday 2 November 2013

On Monday I will be flying to Gran Canaria, to take part in the most exciting event happening in the island for quite sometime. It is a creative platform where people will be selling, and showing their creations alongside, professional workshops and talks. I have always wanted to contribute somehow to the design/craft/teaching scene back home, and taken part in this fair will give me a great opportunity to meet creative people, and find out more about what is going on over there as well as bringing some of the knowledge I have acquired over all this years studying and working in London.

I will have a stand to show chocolate creative's products, as well as teach some workshops and give a talk. I must admit that I am very nervous about the perspective of talking in front of a lot of people, I rather stay behind the scene and let the others do the talk, but this time I am going out of my conform zone and embrace this unique opportunity. I hope to do it well, and inspire others to follow their dreams...

I love the campaign behind Fashion & Friends, the photos and their quotes are very inspiring and that is the whole point of this event, to inspire and motivate people to explore their creative paths.
